Hi.
Growing up as young teenager in early 90s (i.e. before Astro) – Jangan ketawa was top of our list, despite coming from a mix Chinese Indian background…the show transcended all backgrounds.

Seems like things were more carefree then, nobody had this tsk tsk mentality which is prevalent nowadays, things just seemed alot more liberal then.

Happy times. The younger generation now do not know what they are missing. Even looking at the youtube which shows some clips – you see so many hateful comments.

I miss that era!

OMG!! Jangan ketawa and Thundercats in primary school?? I am definitely in your age group! Those afternoons/evenings were friggin awesome fun =(

absolutely agree with u, 2 thumbs n 2 toes up 4 this show, at tat time by far this was the best local comedy show ever made. do let me know if they still hv dvd, it’ll b my collector’s item

You’re absolutely right. I miss jangan ketawa, I am overseas now, I am looking for the DVD but so far, I can’t find it. Did they ever put Jangan Ketawa series into DVD at all? Is there a away for me to buy so I can watch them again?

Honestly, I really missed “Jangan Ketawa”
tv shows very much. I like the mixed culture
and each of them has their own talents.
My family and I used to wait for this show
and never missed the series.

I like Dee,Moon,Shan,Rambo and also Rama.
Well they really do make people laugh.
Hope that this series can be repeated again.

With today’s hectic lifestyle, we really need
some sense of humor and realty in life.

Well, to all those who contributed their time
and talents and also to all the staffs, you have
made this show successful,thank you and
this is the BEST show ever !

hahaha…jgn ketawa…all about malaysian one..we all can sit together to watch it..we can share the T.v..share the laugh..not like nowdays..malay drama,chinese drama,tamil drama,malay song,chinese song,tamil song,album inggeris terbaik tempatan,..but where Malaysia??

theres no malaysia..only got malay..malay..chinese..chinese..indian..indian..

the media making it more realistic.

even what language we gonna speak also gettin more complicated..

who change bahasa malaysia to bahasa melayu again??/…ah why all the leaders cannot see this..only see the big big one..

seriously…because of language differences..
the gap between races gettin bigger and wider..

Do some thinking here….

do u feel comfortable lepak with someone who speak different tongue..??
eventhough u understand it..u will feel it awkward..

thats how it becomes rojak..but how rojak..
more English less bahasa..or more bahasa less english…

Checkout advertisement..let say poster la..we want to promote our product..
our target client is for all malaysian..
we have to print out poster in many languages..
or atleast two languages..so costly…

Adakah kamu fikir..artikel kamu tentang jangan ketawa ni dibaca oleh semua Malaysian?

Sesiapa yang memahami English mesti pernah baca tetapi sebaliknya..

So its hard to express our feelings in malaysia..

i really wish that Malaysia only communicate in one Language. I mean communicate. have good communication. We speak, we read, only in one language..i dont care la what language we speak..bahasa ke..mandarin ke..tamil ke..english ke..as long as the communication in one language.

I love Jangan Ketawa. I used to wait every week to watch it on TV when I was schooling. It is really a genius production. It was such a disappointment when I heard that they banned it.
