same problem with indonesia here. television products that we called ’sinetron (sinema elektronik)’ is full of crap and some EXPERT in tv and movie says some of them are copycat products from india and taiwan film tv.
imho this tv capitalist thinks that people are too stupid to protest, and money can be still produced by producting craps-copycats-low-budget sinetron.
anyway, sad that astro has gone from indo. we here need a counterbalance-capitalist to make the service better. what happen now is like monopolistic cable-tv industry..

GTFO and never come back. craplicious is right, malaysia is a shithole for the entertainment business. look at tv1, it has been broadcasting since the dawn of malaysia, and it still is broadcasting half assed quality productions now. film negara malaysia is a fucking huge ass joke. i’m pretty sure every year’s budget goes to them, and into someone’s pocket.

and what’s with all the direct spelling of malay words from english? berdansa? are u fucking kidding my ass off?

and look at mawi. he cant sing for jack shit and yet he is “popular”. why? because malaysians cant fucking differentiate talent and nonsense. either that or the malaysian media is desperate for a recognisable face.

does anyone remember the community message about the flood thing? where it reminds us to be careful when eating food etc? HOW FUCKING PROFESSIONAL CAN IT GET? come on! it is something serious, do away with the fucking swaying of text while you are narrating the damn thing. it’s like they are making a joke out of it!

While we’re on the subject of astro…what’s the deal with the ‘hujan’ thingy? Everytime its raining or raining 100km away, there’s no service. World class? Get cable tv right first. Hello, don’t talk bout going to outerspace if you can’t figure out cable tv yet.

Hee hee..I like you crap. at least you’re brave enough to SPEAK OUT your mind. I’ve been bottling up my feelings for the Malaysian TV for decades. Even went to the extent of ‘giving up on watching Malaysian-made TV shows completely’. Thank God you came to the rescue. However, there’s only one gem among all the other drama series ever made in Malaysia– the 8TV series ‘Ghost’. Judging only by the title, I thought it was about you know, like another cheesy drama like ‘Supernatural’. Ignored the ad the first time I saw it. Then a few months later, I watched it on YouTube and totally LOVED it. It’s one that will never put you to sleep but sort of forces you to work your brain a little. And it’s totally ORIGINAL. And yes, I HATE ‘Macam-Macam Aznil’ and ‘Amboi-Amboi Azwan’. Mere torture.
