Mac Users Are As Shitty As PC Users

Are you a Mac user or a PC user? I have been using Macs and PCs all my life but I personally prefer Macs simply because I’m shallow, not obsessed. I like nice looking things and I know dick about customizing or building my own computer. That doesn’t mean I’m worth any less than a Windows user though.

You know what, there’s nothing special being a Mac user. Nothing. Macs are just computers, just like PCs or Windows machines or whatever you wanna call those pieces of crap. So from a Mac user to all of Malaysian Mac users out there, stop feeling so goddamn fucking special. You’re not. Owning a Mac doesn’t make you any better than any other computer users out there. Stop being friggin’ proud of how many Macs / iPods / iShits you own or place bundled Apple stickers all over your car. You may think it’s cool but it’s not. It is, in fact, superlame.

Some of Mac users love using Macs because they make them feel unique. You know what’s unique about Macs? NOTHING. You have a friggin’ Macbook and loving every second of it. You bought useless but expensive protective stuff like iCondoms to prevent your precious from stain. So what? Gazillions of other people have EXACTLY the same machine as you do. What the hell so unique about that?

You know why Malaysian Apple resellers’ staffs are so fucking arrogant and super proud of themselves like they guard the fucking heaven gates or something? It’s because the Malaysian perception of Macs can only be used by certain people like indie band members and Carrie Bradshaw while the rest of the population only left with sucky Windows. To all of those stuck up staffs, you’re no better than my rotten toenails so stop acting like you know everything in the universe and try to be useful for a change.

I was walking inside this stupid pathetic Apple reseller shop (notice how constant I mentioned Apple reseller instead of Apple store, never refer them as one or they will think that they’re Steve Job’s son or something), looking like a homeless man and for the 100th time, I got this “Ergh, are you cool enough to own a Mac (like me)?” stare. Listen fool, if you’re so fucking great why are you working there in the first place? Shouldn’t you be curing cancer or discovering new planets or something?

Macs and PCs are just bloody computers, not status symbols, assholes. Before you say “They both sucks. I use Linux, bitches!”, Linux users are as shitty as Macs and Windows users combined. There’s nothing great about what platform you use, okay? In case you’ve missed it, I am a MAC USER. Peace out!

    Only if Windows LAPTOP design is as sleek as MAC BOOK PRO! Yes, for me MAC is god, and I wish to own at least one APPLE stuff in the future! I’m a shitty wannabe!

    Everytime I visit an Apple reseller, I wish I could just give a bitchslap to each and every staff in there. Their pathetic look is unbearable..

    @jayhan Good luck on being shitty wannabe! On the other hand though, MacBook is a pretty nice machine (for the first 3 months).

    Just out of curiosity, chong, if you can’t stand the look of apple resellers, why do you visit them? I’d assume it’s due to your interest in purchasing or using Mac products then?

    I guess in Malaysia we have no choice but to visit those Apple resellers but I know one place in KL where you don’t have to deal with those fools. I’ll elaborate later. ;)

    Definitely agree with the author. Owning a platform (either win base, mac base (latest mac os also base on linux duh, or linux) doesn’t mean anything. It just a platform in order for you to work with your computer hardware. Thats all.

    Your output and productivity count.

    PS : how about a sci fiction novel author who use Windows 95 and Ms. word 97 to do her work but GAIN more than USD10 mil a year?

    I noticed that you are a fan of Maddox, and this article reminds me greatly of the entry Maddox did called One thing PC users can do that Mac users can’t at http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=macs_cant

    Anyway the resemblance is not hard to miss since the last line of Maddox’s entry is ‘Mac fans switched back over to Windows, even though Windows is just as shitty’ which sort of resonates your title. Maddox also writes constantly about hating children and stuff around him. Although you do come up with plenty of original stuff, I don’t think it’s a great idea to rewrite on a theme Maddox has already covered, since he is so widely read.

    Thanks for the sound advice magenta! Although some topics are similar to ones in Maddox, this post is all about Malaysians who think owning a Mac is cool thus making them above anyone else. Also how annoying local Apple reseller sales people handle their prospecting customers.

    As for others, these thoughts has been on my mind since before I read his website and while he inspired me to create my own blog, I believe I do create my own original stuff. The similarity because the same hatred we shared, that’s all.

    Anyways, this blog is meant to be my personal dissing area since I can’t do this in real life otherwise people will think I’m nuts LOL. Thanks again, it’s good to have a constructive comment once in a while.

    p.s: I’ve read your blog thoroughly. It’s freakin’ great, I think I’ll never reach your level of writing frankly. Keep up the great work!

    Yup I know exactly what you mean. I’ve been along time mac user. When we moved back to Malaysia (we were living in Canada), I was sort of suprise at how arrogant the staff were. Everytime you step into the sho, they give you ‘that’ look. As soon as you go near the display computers, the first time they tell you is how expensive it is. BIG DEAL!!! AS IF I DONT HAVE ANY MONEY! And worst part is, they’re NOT even employed by Apple. They’re just working for an Apple RESELLER!!!.

    Here’s my story. I wanted to get a mac mini for my mom n after paying the full price for it, we waited for 3 weeks (the maximum waiting time for delivery) but nothing happened. I ended up chasing the guy at MACASIA (located at Great Eastern Mall) for 3 freaking month before I got back my money!!!! The worst part was that he was a liar and a thief! When we were inform that the mac mini we had ordered (high end model) was out of stock, he wanted to substitute it with a lower model plus some additional cost (totaling up to RM1500)!!! Apparently the additional cost was for the external USB DVD+R and RAM!! That was when I said to myself enough is enough!!!

    As far as I can tell, my nightmare experience of buying a Mac was not unique to Apple alone. We Malaysia have this couldn’t-care-less attitude we have towards customers. We lose our business ethics, manners and self-respect all for the sake of quick profit. I know because I also have a Dell PC at home and the after sales service is just as bad!!! Trust me, I am Asian, I travel alot, I’ve been to alot of APPLE STORE in other countries, but Malaysia is among the worst!

    I still use Macs. Only now I prefer to buy my Mac from the Apple website. Regardless of what these Apple Reseller shop offer me, I’ve had my fair share! So far dealing with Apple Customer Service directly has been great! =) It’s something we Malaysian can learn from.
